Which Vaccine Is Best and Most Effective? – Covishield, Covaxin and Sputnik V

Looking at the current situation where the number of vaccine production is less than the demand, the government decided to grant emergency permission for foreign-produced vaccines. Vaccines that have been used in other countries are fast-tracked for emergency approval by the central government.

As per the Union Health Ministry, the first 100 people who get vaccinated by foreign vaccines will be examined for a maximum of seven days. And after this, these medicines will be rolled out for further purpose.

The centre’s decided by setting an expert panel that the covid-19 vaccines from other countries like Japan, UK, US and Europe, that are approved by World Health Organisation for emergency use should be permitted in India.

How Coronavirus Attack Your System?

The reason it is good to follow a one-meter distance once you are out or near an infected person because the droplets of various sizes that are trapped in the turbulent gas can travel up to 26 feet, which could spread this virus rapidly.

The coronavirus has two parts on the outer side, one is spike protein and the other is the genetic material. The spike protein is the reason that Coronavirus is entering your system, and the genetic material helps one Coronavirus to multiply from one to lakhs and crores.

The spike protein (N-Protein) cannot enter the cells or the membrane, these spike protein only attacks your lungs. The cells of your lungs are more sensitive, and once the spike protein of the virus sticks to the receptor of your lungs, that is when the actual complication starts. Once the virus sticks to your lung receptor, the virus goes inside through the receptor.

Once this virus enters your system, the genetic material of the Coronavirus (RNA) matches the DNA of your body. This enters your lungs, this virus further gets in contact with the nucleus and with the help of ribosome one Coronavirus multiplies and your system start making an uncountable number of Coronavirus.

The ribosome produces the protein in your system, but once it gets in contact with the Coronavirus, the same ribosome replicates more Coronavirus.

This ring a major alarm in your immune system and when this happens your immune system starts killing and fighting all these viruses. When you experience fever, this means your system is fighting against something that can harm you. Fever means your body temperature is higher than the normal temperature, which helps to kill some viruses attacking your body.

Also, when your body temperature is high, you stop doing all the chores and start taking rest when you realise your experience fever this further help your system to use all the energy to invade the unknown enemy in your territory and protect you from major complications.

But, when your system starting replicating the uncountable number of viruses, it is difficult for your system to fight against the virus. And this is the time when the nucleus of your body suggests your defense mechanism to develop antibodies against the virus.

These antibodies stick to the protein spikes of the virus and protect you against the complication of the virus. Once your system makes as many antibodies as you need to fight the virus in your system, you will be out of danger.

How Vaccine Help Your Body to Fight The Coronavirus?

Exactly! You got it right; the vaccine develops the same antibodies you need to fight the Coronavirus if it enters your system. And that is why you need to get vaccinated.

Which Vaccine is Best For You?

Covishield: Covishield is made by the Serum Institute of India, and this vaccine works on RNA technology. This vaccine locks the spike proteins of the Coronavirus. This vaccine makes so many antibodies in your system that stop the virus from entering your system.

This RNA vaccine is effective you maintain a gap of 42 to 56 days between the first and the second dose. But if you take this vaccine within a gap of 28 days, this is only effective up to 54%. This vaccine is effective up to 80% if you follow the gap of 42 to 56 days.

Covaxin: This vaccine is made in India and Bharat Biotech made this vaccine and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is also effective to protect you against the virus. It is also said that this vaccine is showing excellent result against the double and triple variant of Coronavirus. This vaccine is made by weakening the live virus, and then this weak virus gets injected into your system that helps your system to make many antibodies.

The good thing about Covaxin is that even if you take this vaccine in a gap of 28 days, this vaccine gives you really excellent protection and you do not need to wait for 42 to 56 days. So, Covaxin gives you 80% to 85% protection against the Coronavirus within 28 days only.

Sputnik V: This is one of the fastest developed vaccines. This vaccine has two types of viruses; this means that the first dose differs from the second dose, unlike Covishield and Covaxin that contain the same dose. But this does not make the above two vaccines less effective. This vaccine contains two types of virus which are injected into your system to develop antibodies to fight against the virus. The efficacy of this vaccine is upto 91%.

This vaccine works faster than the above two vaccines because it takes only 21 days for you to get the second dose after the first dose of Sputnik V. The only thing is that both the first and second doses are different so, the doctors and the medical warriors need to keep a check on the two different doses.

If you are thinking you will the option to choose a vaccine, then you are wrong, you will not get any vaccine out of these three vaccines. However, there is no difference in the efficacy of these three vaccines and your body will sufficient antibodies to win the fight against the Coronavirus.

Also, getting vaccinated does not mean that you will not get infected by the Coronavirus is just you will not face any serious complications. So, the question arises, which vaccine is best for you? Then the simple is all three doses are effective.
